Okay! Open the front camera of your phone. What do you see? Of course, your face, right? Now recall it, when first you see your face– “your unprepared face” What was your first impression of yourself? Is it Ooo …I look good, I love my smile, I love how my face is. That one sentence which popped into your mind after seeing your face – is the level of confidence you are carrying about yourself. That’s why we call it – Confidence mindset habits.
Confidence building is an asset in every space, wherever you go for work, networking, building relationships or even if it’s about building your business. Confidence is built up by small to small challenges, mending thought processes and forming habits. In this blog, I am going to teach you how confidence mindset habits can be learned through expert technique and a unique way. How to build confidence that would be irresistible and unshakable.
If time being tough,
You become The toughest.
If faith shakes,
You become "The unshakable"
If courage's there,
You bring "the Confidence" on the table.
Cause that's how You become "The Old You and Gold You”
I think it’s relatable or not shameful if I share something of my experience and tell you clearly why confidence is necessary in your life and character.
When I felt – Confidence is the game.
Currently, I have a sprain in my right leg calf muscle; the pain in the past few days has increased a lot. I googled it at 2am and found out the pain could be caused by 4 reasons, of which one was heart choking, and it might be fatal. But I am not panicking, I am not assuming my death, I am not even multiplying the one sad thought into thousands, you know “The curse of pessimistic behavior.“
You know why? Because in my past years, I have been through an autoimmune disease. And I recovered from it. That one particular “accomplished incident” has fed into my mind that no matter what, worse would be the situation, nothing could be worse than that, if I did that, if I overcome that nightmare. I would love to face any of the incidents with firm determination and unshakable confidence. That one incident has built the entire confidence mindset habits – no incident scares me anymore.
As per this study, the most durable determinant of self-confidence is the experience of mastery or performance accomplishments.

Techniques for Confidence Building.
Confidence is like an art, the more you practice – the more you become proficient in your work, and ultimately you become an artist. Self confidence signals – believing oneself to be of high ability or morality makes it easier to convince others that one does have such qualities.
As per William Jones, believing in oneself as a key to personal success.
So, basically you will learn to believe in yourself, you will learn to trust in yourself by these simple and Cognitive techniques.
- Performance based approach.
Recall. Toughly recall any incident, chapter or lesson of your life, whereby you stand firmly to face the situation and you overcome it with full power because that single incident could recharge you to go through a number of failures, because one powered incident gave your mind psychological signal that you have “locus of control” towards your action.
When you have locus of control, as per studies that person does possess more self determination than the one who does not have Locus of control.
Tip: Sit quietly for 10 minutes and here you are rewiring your thoughts because you are here being selective and only trying to focus over those chapters/scenarios of your life where you win, where you fought with determination and gave you a sense of satisfaction and confidence.
2. Make yourself a Role-Model.
If you are asking yourself, is it a good approach?
Really… It is one of the great ways to build confidence mindset habits.
If you can’t trust research and studies, at least try to trust in yourself.
In the above recalling section, whatever you found out conquering about yourself, you don’t have to leave that thought then and there– but you need to write it in a particular notebook. That notebook is going to become your guiding master for the next 30 days.
Whenever you will read any incident in which you found yourself winning. It not only gave me hope, but the strength and courage to have faith in your senses with full grit. Here you are playing psychologically and teaching your brain to learn and get empowered to become the confident geek who you used to be.
3. Self – talk mantra.
You know everything. But the problem is– you barely trust yourself. You always ignore the wisest advice but instantly believe something which is to demean your aura, makes you feel negative and to feel bad about yourself.
Yes! Have you ever pondered over why you always talk negatively about yourself? Why not to push yourself, when you are going through disasters.
Now, change the process. This time when something unwanted happens to you, talk to yourself but in a positive tone. For example; yeah that happened but okay now I will see what good i can do after this damage, i really hope that I can make it someway good because I know I am the best. I do have the potential, I do hold the power to bring positive changes, everything I manage by myself.

4. Use Sandwich skill technique.
If you are aiming for something, and your performance isn’t achieved yet, now there would be two ways. Your mind will react, either it will put more effort and take it as a learning OR you will be unsatisfied from your work and it might be possible that you completely abandon that work.
I would suggest instead you use, Sandwich skill, through these 4 simple steps:
Step 1: Acknowledge your mistake, blunder or the thing which went wrong.
Step 2: Now, Compliment yourself about something that you did correct in the whole performance.
Step 3: Give instructions which end with how you can improve yourself, you have to give instructions not the blame game.
Step 4: Give positive notes through encouraging talks to keep the learner within yourself to keep trying.
5. Create Healthy Illusions.
It’s one of the best suggested methods to enhance confidence by Taylor & Brown.
Healthy Illusions involves little distortion of reality in the positive direction.
Take imagery help of your mind, in which you are picturizing something related to your aim in an exaggerated way, which brings a smile on your face, to train and signal the Subconscious mind of your brain, that Oo this one makes me feel good. So, let’s do it.
As per studies, there are numerous benefits of creating healthy Illusions in which some of the benefits, I am mentioning :-
- It sustains high hope.
- Keep your morale high.
- Lowers your stress and anxiety level.
- Helps in recovery and boost motivation to improve one’s situation and performance.
6. Strengthen your Confidence Belief.
You may appear to be confused when I use this term, confidence belief but understand this, we can understand confidence of two types.
You know that if you learn karate, you will be fully able to protect yourself and this skill can defend you against whoever tries to harass you. You thought all of this, you get a kick(feeling good kick in your mind) about the outcome. This is what we call, outcome belief( because it leads to self-satisfaction).
Generally we all do have this outcome belief, but the confidence belief is the “one’s ability of oneself” when that person is actually doing the task, while learning the karate you may feel sometimes demotivated, useless or not worth for this skill– many abandon that particular task at this stage but the one whose confidence is resistant enough is one who carries it despite that person is getting the results or not, they might readjust the targets to make them feel little satisfied but abandoning the task is not in their mindset.
7. Use Self efficacy theory.
It’s one way to enhance your confidence by Bandura in this research.
How it influences the learning and performance of an individual. Self-efficacy is the belief of one person of being able to execute a specific task successfully in order to obtain a certain outcome.
Self-efficacy is not one’s skill but rather it’s a judgement or belief of a person of what he/she can accomplish with the particular skill they possess.
For example if a person is skilled in writing, that person can aim to be a good writer or content writer, it shows that with that skill what purpose he can achieve successfully.
Self-efficacy implies and shows that a goal has been set with confidence.
